Depending on one’s interest and academic record, there are a number of Teacher Training Colleges (TTC) courses available in various Teacher Training Colleges across Kenya. TTC courses are offered at Diploma courses as well as P1 courses for primary school teachers. The following is a list of TTC courses and their minimum admission requirements (both diploma and P1 courses) based on the Kenyan National Examination Council (KNEC) admission requirements.
- Diploma in Teacher Education (DTE) Minimum admission requirements for sighted candidates KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus), for candidates with visual impairments KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain).
- Diploma in Early Childhood Development & Education), minimum admission requirements is KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain)
- Diploma in Teacher Training (Special Needs Education), minimum admission requirements is KCSE Mean Grade D+ (Plus)
- Certificate in Teacher Training (Primary Education), minimum admission requirements is KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain)
- Certificate in ECDE Certificate course, minimum admission requirements is KCSE Mean Grade D+ (Plus)
- Certificate in Teacher Training (Adult Education), minimum admission requirements is KCSE Mean Grade D+ (Plus)
