Sang’alo institute or the Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) is a public technical training institute located about seven kilometers from Bungoma town in Bungoma county. The institute has since been upgraded into a national polytechnic going with the name Bungoma National Polytechnic, (formerly SIST).  The history of Sang Alo institute dates back in 1924 when the late paramount chief of Bukusu Mzee Sudi donated a 610 piece of land for veterinary services.
