Who is a social work craftsman?
A social work craftsman is a craftsperson or a worker skilled in social work or a closely related field. A social problem can be defined as various problems affecting members of the community such as poverty, drug abuse and environmental issues among others. Social work is a profession that strives to help families and communities overcome or deal with various social problems affecting them. Under the guidance of senior officers, social work craftsmen assist families and other community member’s deal with various problems they experience.

Minimum admission requirements
A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), mean grade D (plain) and above is required.

Training & Study options
With a KCSE mean grade D (plain) and above, you can proceed to a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college and enroll for a relevant craft certificate course. Craft courses are also offered within Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) within your region.
